3 - Miss Ziel, what do I do when I am done? If I had a dime for every time I've heard this question, I could cover next semesters tuition. I've learned my students look at school work as a race, they want to be done fast and move on to the next thing. My questions to all you educators out there is: how do you motivate students to do their best work, instead of just getting it done?
2 - Teaching Gym is hard! (Correction - Physical Education, the gym is merely the place in which this occurs) There is just something about the gym that makes students go a little bananas. This is where I have found that routines are absolutely essential, as is a whistle.
1 -Kids are inspiring. I've found out the back story on a couple of my students, and I just have to say, that they are some of the strongest people I know, and they are not even 9! To face such adversity and continue to come to school with a smile, and try their best, makes late night stressed out lesson planning worth it.
